GPURisers.com brings to market custom made 20 Watt Per Meter by Kelvin (20 W/mK for short) GPU Memory Thermal Pads. Frustrated by overheating and thermal throttling issues, our team tested many thermal pads currently on the market. With the extreme heat produced by higher end cards such as an RTX 3090 and 3080Ti, we were still falling short of our temperature goals to increase the life span of our cards. The market for consumer electronics have 12.8 W/mK & higher end 15 W/mK thermal pads that do help memory junction temperatures, however to increase the thermal conductivity past 15 W/mK we had to switch from consumer electronics manufacturing to medical grade manufacturing.

Here at the GPURisers.com Mining Bunker we have tested our 20 W/mK thermal pads on a couple of our problematic cards. Our most problematic card for thermal throttling has been our Zotac 3070 Ti Holo Amp Edition cards. Despite the lower wattage compared to an RTX 3090, our cards would thermal throttle with having only 6 total cards on a single rig. The stock thermal pads resulted in 104C while being isolated on our test bench! The GPURisers.com 20 W/mK Thermal Pads resulted in 84C.

Additionally, our Zotac 3090 Trinity cards resulted in a drop of 8C, enough to eliminate our thermal throttling issues. Adding these 20 W/mK will not only get you more hash while mining, it will increase the life of your cards!

I have a TUF 3070TI in a desktop setup that was running hot while mining . I tried Gelid Extreme and it got me from 100C to 82C, but the fans where at 100 percent. I game on the pc also so I wanted a quieter solution. I tried GPURiser 2mm thermal pads and now my temps are 78C while mining ETH and Alephium and I was able to reduce the fan to 80 percent . I would highly recommend the pads . Now on to the longevity test. see ya in 6 months.

These thermal pads are absolutely amazing. With factory pads, the memory temps on my RTX 3080 GPUs were holding between 105C and 109C. Even with using expensive pads from Amazon, temps were still 100C+. With the GPURisers 2mm & 3mm pads installed, my memory temps are holding steady between 74C and 77C. Way to go GPURisers team!!!! I will be buying all my thermal pads here. I hope you can start selling 1mm, 1.5mm, & 2.5mm pads as well. I normally don’t like leaving reviews but, i felt compelled to leave one here. No more thermal throttling for my GPUs!!!!

Best thermal pads I’ve ever used. The memory on my MSI Ventus 3080ti was thermal throttling at 110C and I was only getting 80 Mh/s mining Eth. After replacing all the crap stock pads with 20 W/mK pads from GPU Risers I’m now getting 90 Mh/s at 78C. Phenomenal pads for the price. These are now the goto pads for my farm.

GREAT stuff here…dropped my temps on my zotac 3080 trinity by 25c! …thanks guys for the amazing product!

Unfortunately, I was not able to achieve the drop in mem-temps as the other reviewers. I started with mem-temps of 98-100 on a RTX 3080 FE, fans at 95% and after changing the pads its pretty much the same. I used the 1.5 mm as suggested by GPU Risers thermal pad thickness list, but i’m thinking that i should have used the 2.0 mm.

Hello, some newer FE models do have 2.0MM as pads, we just learned of this recently as its very new!

These pads are absolutely incredible! Six of my 3090s have been having GPU throttling issues for a long time. I first tried repadding them with Fujipoly Ultra extreme XR after watching a YouTube video that recommended it and showed results that I never saw. Then I purchased these pads. And I did so because generally speaking everything that I’ve purchased from GPURisers has been of the highest quality and most reliable performance. I don’t think these guys would sell a crap product. So anyhow, I use MSOS and Minerstat and one of my 3090s, an EVGA FTW3 was hashing around 90MH while the rest of them were all hashing at 118. After re-padding the first one and watching it go from 90 to 123.8, I then did the same thing to two more and now all three are within a fraction of each other above 123. I will be doing all of my 90+ cards as I have the time. Fantastic product!!

Used 1.5mm pads as recommended on 2 RTX 3090 FEs. With some planning, one sheet (100x100mm) can re-pad both sides of one 3090 FE. I replaced all pads and repasted (using Noctua NT-H2 for those interested) and dropped the memory temps by a solid ~10C to a relatively cooler 78C. Both are mining at 122 MH/s with fans set to 80%. Pads are extremely easy to work with. Thanks GPURisers, great product. Will buy again to maintain other cards.

    Hello,

RTX 3080 MSI Suprim X – which pad thickness are the stock ones? In one picture you are saying it’s 2 mm and in the UK/EU one you are saying it’s 3 mm…. which should I choose?

UPDATE to my April 2, 2022 Review
So I reopened the GPU and after some examination found that one of the 50mm x14mm thermal pads was not making contact with the heat sink. So I kinda squished the sides of the pad to increase the thickness and was able to get contact on both sides. I am now getting mem temps of 80° to 84° with fans on 70% to 75% and 78° ambient, this is a huge improvement . So in review, I think it is a excellent product, I can confirm that it works very well, the issue i originally had was clearly a result of thermal pad thickness. I had planned to use the remaining half of the 1.5mm thermal pads on my second 3080 FE, but may look at getting the 2.0mm instead.

Re-padded a Zotac 3080ti Trinity. The card would run around 102-110c on the memory. After I changed the pads out it now runs between 80-86c. I am thoroughly impressed with these pad. I only changed the front pads (2mm) and not the ones on the back plate.

Was having issues with my 3080 FE Thermal Throttling Bad.Even on the test bench.Decided to reach out to my good friends at GPURisers.Com and went from a tuned down 700 core 0 memory, core locked and at 96* was able to get this card down to 81*.
Still havent tuned the card yet as I am now ordering for 3080/3090..
After 24hours it is reached 83* before I even turned the big fans on for the SC heat wave.Product speaks for itself..
